What we do

Cooling that fits the building, not a guess.

Central air or ductless mini-splits, sized to the space and installed clean, for homes and businesses across eastern Massachusetts.

The right system

Central air or ductless, explained.

Central air

One system conditions the whole home or building through existing ductwork, best when the ducts are already there, not still cooling one room while another never catches up.

Ductless mini-splits

No ductwork needed, and each head gives its room independent control. The fix for the finished attic or sunroom that never keeps up, or any space central air can't reach.

Installs & repairs

New systems, replacements, and fast repairs, sized to the space and tested before we leave, for homes and businesses.

Why Prime

Sized to the space, not a guess.

  • Sized to the space

A real on-site load calculation, not a guess over the phone.

  • Homes and commercial

From a single mini-split head to light-commercial rooftop units.

  • Usually a single day

A clean like-for-like replacement, start to finish, one visit.

  • Tested before we leave

The system commissioned and checked, not just switched on.

  • Licensed and insured

Permitted work, done right, that protects your warranty.

On the job

The crew that actually shows up.

A real Prime HVAC install, start to finish. Sized to the space, set in place clean, and the system tested before we leave. Book Prime and this is who does the work, for homes and businesses across the region.

When to call

When the system's acting up.

  • One room never cools while the rest of the house is fine.
  • The mini-split in the finished attic or sunroom that never keeps up.
  • Short cycling, the system switching on and off every few minutes.
  • A rooftop unit that runs longer or louder than it used to.

FAQ

HVAC questions, answered.

Ducted central air or a ductless mini-split, which is right for me?
It depends on the building. Central air works well when there is sound ductwork already, since one system conditions the whole space through the existing vents. Ductless mini-splits are the better fit when there is no ductwork, for additions, finished attics, and sunrooms, or when different rooms need independent control. Many homes and businesses here run a mix of both, and we help you choose what actually suits the space.
Why does one room never feel right, no matter what I do?
Usually it is undersized ductwork, a return that is too small, or a room that was never on the same zone as the rest of the house. A load calculation on that specific room tells us whether it is a duct fix or whether a mini-split head is the simpler answer. Either way, we look at the actual room, not just the thermostat.
How often should I service my AC?
Plan on at least one professional tune-up a year, ideally in spring before cooling season. Systems that also heat, like year-round heat pumps, benefit from a check twice a year. Between visits, changing or cleaning the filter on schedule is the single most useful thing you can do for performance and bills.
Do you handle commercial and rooftop units?
Yes. Commercial systems are larger and often mounted as packaged rooftop units to save interior space and keep noise off the floor. They can usually be serviced with minimal disruption to your operations, and this equipment calls for a crew experienced with commercial work, which is what we bring.
